Profile & History

Altares Benelux, a reliable partner in all your business decisions.

The history of Altares Benelux

The company opened for business on 20 July 1841, when it was known as The Mercantile Agency in New York, and started a business information revolution. D&B has grown considerably since the early days to retain its lead in the market with the aid of state-of-the-art technology.

As of December 2016, Dun & Bradstreet's subsidiary Benelux (Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg) is transferred to the Altares Group and will be known as Altares Benelux. Altares has decided to acquire D & B Benelux in order to assert its presence on the European continent and to assert its international dimension after the acquisition in March 2016 of Inforisk Africa, which allowed an implantation in Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia.

Who is Altares?

Altares was born in 2006 by the merger between BIL (Base d’Infos Légales) and D&B France. Since then, the company hasn’t stopped growing but still shares a lot of things in common with D&B.
Altares is part of D&B worldwide Network and is often rewarded for its innovations in numerous areas related to data.
